One definition of where a lead came from

Released 2026-08-14 · v5.4

Counting intake channels that actually add up

Leads arrive through web forms, email, campaigns, and direct entry. Each path recorded the channel differently, so any count of intake channels disagreed with itself. There is now one definition, applied to all five paths.

What is new

One channel definition

  • All five intake paths use the same channel definition, so the totals match.
  • The lead list shows a channel badge, so you can see where an enquiry came from without opening it.

Logging a lead during the call

  • A phone enquiry can be logged while you are still on the call, with only the minimum fields.
  • That removes the gap where details were written on paper and copied over later, minus whatever got lost.

Picking the company by search

  • When creating a lead, you can search the company list and select from it, rather than typing a name. This stops the same company accumulating under several spellings.
  • Typing a new company by hand still works for genuinely new ones.

Bulk upload from a spreadsheet

  • Upload a list gathered at an exhibition or a seminar and register it in one pass.

Related improvements

  • Enquiry text on a lead can be edited from the list, without opening the detail.
  • The default range on the Daily list is now three months by activity date. Closed items are always excluded, and opportunities that have sat still for a long time are marked as stalled.
